Responsibilities
This is a full-time, nine-month tenure track position with a possibility of summer teaching. Applications will be accepted from candidates having interests in a broad range of areas including voice, dysphagia, speech science, and motor speech disorders. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in communication disorders, conducting research, academic advising, and providing service at the department, and university levels.

 

 

Qualifications
Required:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Communication Disorders. ABD candidates near completion will be considered for the assistant professor rank. Candidates must have a commitment to excellence in teaching and research, eligibility for clinical licensure in Texas, and ASHA certification. 
For appointment at the Associate Professor rank, the applicant must meet the department and university requirements for Associate Professor at Texas State University-San Marcos.
 
Preferred:
Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: voice, dysphagia, speech science, and motor speech disorders; however, all qualified applicants will be considered.
