Instruct and recruit well-qualified graduate and undergraduate composition students. Develop and direct a robust composition program, including ensemble performances of new music. Teach an advanced course in theory or other area of expertise. Participate in professional activities in the field of composition and/or music theory. Regularly participate in faculty meetings, committees, and other service activities. (Specific duties are assigned by the Director.)
Required: Doctorate of Music or equivalent in extensive professional experience and earned Master of Music. College-level teaching experience. Record of success as a professional composer.
Preferred: Experience in new music performance and academic leadership.
