During this orientation, new faculty will learn about the mission and goals of the university, the tenure and promotion process, expectations for teaching and research, and leadership and support available in the Division of Academic Affairs. All new tenure-track faculty are expected to attend. New tenured faculty are also welcome. Faculty are required to register for the orientation here.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

TRACS (Teaching, Research, And Collaboration System) is the collaborative learning environment at Texas State University.
Faculty are required to register for the workshop here. New faculty must log in using their Texas State NetID which can be obtained from their department prior to the workshop registration.

This supplemental session provides more in-depth information to help navigate the first year at Texas State. The focus is practical tips for a successful semester including resourses to support teaching, uploading your syllabus, and submitting grades. Faculty are required to register for the workshop here.
