New Faculty Orientation

During orientation, you will learn about Texas State University policies and procedures, benefits, technology resources, campus information, faculty organizations, receive your Texas State temporary ID and parking permit, and much more.

To facilitate your paperwork, please bring:

  • Vehicle info (license plate #, year, make and model) if you wish to buy a faculty parking permit;
  • Voided check to begin direct deposit of paychecks; and
  • Social security numbers and birthdates for dependents if you wish to enroll them in the group insurance.

Introduction to Course Management Technology (TRACS)

TRACS (Teaching, Research, And Collaboration System) is the collaborative learning environment at Texas State University.

Faculty are required to register for the workshop here.  New faculty must log in using their Texas State NetID which can be obtained from their department prior to the workshop registration.

Nontenure Line Faculty Workshop

This supplemental session provides more in-depth information to help navigate the first year at Texas State. The focus is practical tips for a successful semester including resourses to support teaching, uploading your syllabus, and submitting grades. Faculty are required to register for the workshop here.
